# Brief
> **Phase 1 artifact.** Short on purpose — this is a **brief, not a functional spec**. It exists so
> there is something precise to verify against, together with the **approved mockups** in
> `design/mockups/`. Brief + mockups are the oracle; code straight from them.
> Agree it, then lock it. Changes go through `design/change-log.md`.
## 1. Goal — the one job
<!-- One paragraph: what this is, and the single job it does. -->
## 2. Users and top journeys
| User | Journey | Ends at |
|---|---|---|
| <!-- who --> | <!-- the path they take --> | <!-- the outcome --> |
## 3. Scope — each item with a testable acceptance criterion
> One bullet per thing we are building. If a machine (or a precise manual step) cannot decide
> pass/fail from the criterion, it is not finished being written.

- **S-2** <!-- what it does --> — *AC:* Given … When … Then …
## 4. Data (high level)
<!-- Entities and how they relate. No schema, no column types — that is the architecture's job. -->
## 5. Non-goals for this version
<!-- What we are deliberately NOT building. Being explicit here is what stops scope creep later. -->
## 6. Security and privacy notes
<!-- What data is sensitive, what regulated domains apply, and the controls that follow
(auth, transport, secrets, retention). "None" is a valid answer — say it explicitly. -->
## 7. Open questions
<!-- Anything assumed rather than agreed. Each one is a risk until the Owner answers it. -->
